Sanna Völker is a Swedish product and furniture designer. She is based in Barcelona and works both in Spain and Scandinavia. Living in the colorful Catalan capital of multicultural vibe impacts the way Sanna approaches her projects.
'Even though my work is very Scandinavian I love to mix this serenity with more daring concepts. I am very interested in sociology and cultural values, and this is often a starting point for my designs.'
Völker has some interesting collaborations on her account. After being awarded 'Bolia Design Awards', for instance, she got involved in work with Danish furniture company - Bolia. The work on 'Snug' series for Bolia brought her the knowledge of treating the stone. The material, that she's worked with for the first time, soon become one of her favourites. In the course of work, Sanna got to know an artisan stonemason who created the sculptures for the magnificent Sagrada Familia cathedral, with whom she’s going to develop new products in 2017.
